Christopher Wellington founded the firm in 2016 after gaining valuable experience at law firms in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and his hometown of New York. Christopher Wellington, Esq., was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2016. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2011 and his Juris Doctor Degree from the American University Washington College of Law in 2015.
Christopher serves as Of Counsel to the Law Offices of Robert A. Celestin, where he has worked with prominent clients such as Shaboozey, Pop Smoke, DC The Don, Desiigner, and CashMoneyAp, among others.
Mr. Wellington is also a member of the Black Sports and Entertainment Lawyers Association (BESLA), where he has served as co-chair of the Young Lawyers Division’s programming committee. Additionally, he has collaborated with the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts on numerous occasions, providing pro bono services.
With extensive experience in the entertainment industry, Mr. Wellington has negotiated and drafted various contracts for recording artists, writers, and music producers. He has also represented on-screen talent and production companies in both scripted and unscripted television projects.
In the real estate sector, Mr. Wellington is skilled in negotiating and drafting contracts for residential and commercial transactions. His clients include real estate investors (both new and seasoned), homeowners looking to sell, and first-time and veteran homebuyers.
In addition to his work in entertainment and real estate, Mr. Wellington has extensive experience advising small businesses on a variety of transactional matters. His expertise includes forming business entities, securing investor funding, obtaining tax-exempt status for not-for-profit organizations, facilitating joint ventures, and registering trademarks and copyrights. He has also represented businesses in specialized industries, including the establishment of dental offices and gyms.
